Worchestshire (how the hell do you spell it!?) is my favorite condiment. It's savory, salty, great in marinades, perfect in sauces and always in my fridge (and pantry).
Another versatile condiment is SOY SAUCE, hence STIR FRY.
Ingredients:
* 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
* 2 Tbsp soy sauce
* 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
* 1 1/2 tsp sesame oil (sometimes i use canola)
* 1/8 tsp ginger
* 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (or to your taste)
*3/4 Tbsp AP flour
* chicken breast (or thighs) - cut into bite size pieces
* onion - chopped
* oil for cooking chicken
*fresh or frozen veggies - I use a lot of broccoli / snap peas / water chestnuts / carrots...
Steps: Preheat oven to 350
1. Take the first 7 ingredients and mix them together in a separate bowl.
2. In a big skillet add oil and heat on medium - add onion and cook until translucent
3. add chicken and brown on both sides - it doesn't need to be cooked all the way through since it will go into the oven later
4. I used frozen veggies and threw them right in the pan
5. Add the sauce you made
6. stir up the goodies
7. Put the (oven proof) pan into the over and let it bake until the veggies are hot, chicken is cooked all the way through, and the sauce has thickened.
8. I cooked some brown rice to put on the bottom of my bowl but feel free to use noodles, cauliflower rice or eat as it.
YUM!
